TMS is a painless and non-invasive neuromodulation technique which can modulate neurotransmission, cerebral blood flow, and neurotrophic factors. Brain plasticity is achieved via low or high frequency stimulation, inducing long term potentiation (LTP) and long term depression (LTD) as needed. The rTMS technique is widely used in many fields:

Diagnosis
Measuring motor evoked potential(MEP) by internal EMG module or third party EMG system. TMS-EMG can be used for evaluating the function of
corticospinal tracts. The common evaluation items: MEP, LICI, SICI, CMCT, MRCT, cortical mapping.
Research
1. S-series TMS can be equipped with TMS-EEG(ERP) synchronous signals acquisition box. The synchronous record of TMS-EEG takes advantage of the high temporal resolution of EEG to track the changes of the neuronal activities evoked by TMS. This technology can record the cortical potential evoked by TMS and the diffusion potential from stimulation target.
2. S-series TMS supports the PAS which is an important method to study the cortex plasticity, including: long term potentiation (LTP), long term depression(LTD).
